Thermal Fixtures
To
meet the needs of non-standard thermal test requirements,
Thermonics offers design and development capabilities
for thermal test fixtures that can be used in a variety
of applications. Innovative thermal test fixture designs
can provide solutions for difficult temperature testing
problems associated with many types of electronic devices.
Application-specific thermal fixtures are always
designed to meet the specific criteria of the customer
and are fabricated with strict adherence to quality
standards.
Thermonics
application-specific thermal text fixture designs take
into consideration the many aspects of electronic testing
of microelectronic devices at temperature. These aspects
include the size and type of device to be tested, device
power dissipation, and temperature range and accuracy
requirements. In addition, great care is taken to protect
against electrostatic discharge problems, as well as
frost and moisture.
Other
considerations are the interface of the fixture to the
user's ATE system and the fixtures' intended use: fixtures
designed for production can be significantly different
from those designed for either low-volume engineering
or quality assurance requirements.

Accessory
Products for Precision Temperature Forcing Systems
Thermonics
provides a variety of accessory products that enhance
the use of its Precision Temperature Forcing Systems
(PTFS). The application of these products ranges from
adapting systems to unique test environments to facilitating
general repair, maintenance and calibration. The table
below presents a brief overview of these products. Details

Caps and Adapters |
Silicon
rubber caps (boots) provide a small enclosure
to assure integration of the test device with
the air stream. These adapters come in several
sizes. Conductive thermal caps are available for
environments where ESD is a concern. |

Rubber Sheets |
Silicon
rubber sheets provide insulation between the thermal
test head and the test site. Sheets are easily
cut for use in custom applications or for making
gaskets, etc. Conductive material is available.

An
optional control device that is useful for hands-free
operation of systems that use a pneumatic head
lift. |

Shrouds |
Optional
sizes of glass shrouds for integrating the test
device with the source air. |
